Christopher Oram

Christopher Oram trained at Northbrook College. Theatre designs for the Donmar Warehouse include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, King Lear (also UK Tour, BAM) Passion, Red (also New York – Critics Circle Award, Tony Award), Hamlet (also New York), Madame de Sade, Twelfth Night, Ivanov, Othello, Parade (also Los Angeles, Garland & Ovation awards), Frost/Nixon (also Gielgud/New York/US tour), Guys and Dolls (Piccadilly), Don Juan in Soho, Grand Hotel, Henry IV, World Music, Caligula (Evening Standard Award), The Vortex, Privates on Parade, Merrily We Roll Along, Passion Play, and Good. Other theatre includes  Evita (Adelphi/Marquis), A View from the Bridge (Duke of York’s), King Lear/ The Seagull for the RSC; Macbeth, The Jew of Malta and The Embalmer at the Almeida; Danton’s Death, Stuff Happens, Marriage Play/ Finding the Sun, Summerfolk,and Power (Olivier Award) at the National Theatre; and Loyal Women and  F***ing Games at the Royal Court. For Sheffield Crucible, includes Suddenly Last Summer  (also Albery – Critics’ Circle Award), The Tempest (also Old Vic), Richard III, Edward II, As You Like It (also Lyric Hammersmith). Opera includes Billy Budd, The Marriage of Figaro (Glyndebourne); Madam Butterfly (Houston); Don Giovanni (Met). Future work includes season designer for the Michael Grandage Company at the Noel Coward theatre.
